WBO Expands Global Reach in 2022–2023
The World Business Organization (WBO) has released its 2022–2023 Annual Performance Report, highlighting a year of significant institutional growth, international expansion, and the successful implementation of its Safe Trade and educational initiatives.
According to the report, WBO expanded its global network from 23 to more than 70 member countries, reinforcing its position as an international platform dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promoting sustainable trade, and strengthening private-sector cooperation. The Organization also established regional coordination offices in Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, and Kenya, enhancing its operational presence across key strategic regions.
A major achievement during the reporting period was the launch of the Safe Trade and Sustainable Business Program (STSBP). Developed in collaboration with academic and business institutions, the initiative delivered training programs and policy dialogues in several countries, reaching more than 5,200 business leaders and SME representatives. The program introduced standardized educational content covering trade law, behavioral economics, logistics, environmental responsibility, and international business practices.
The report also highlights the expansion of WBO's international partnerships through new agreements with chambers of commerce, trade promotion agencies, universities, and development organizations. In addition, the launch of the WBO Knowledge Hub created a digital platform for e-learning, research collaboration, and knowledge exchange among members worldwide.
Financially, WBO strengthened its governance by introducing transparent funding and reporting mechanisms aligned with international standards, while directing investments toward program delivery, institutional development, and digital infrastructure.
Looking ahead, the Organization plans to expand its membership to nearly 90 countries, establish regional certification centers, and convene its first Global Summit on Sustainable Trade and Education. According to the report, the achievements of 2022–2023 have positioned WBO as a trusted international partner advancing ethical trade, educational excellence, and sustainable economic development through global collaboration.
