The World Business Organization (WBO) has released its 2023–2024 Annual Performance Report, highlighting a year of international integration, strategic partnerships, and expanded global programs. The report reflects WBO's transition from organizational expansion to a fully integrated international platform representing private-sector interests across 89 member countries.
According to the report, WBO strengthened its global presence through new liaison offices in Italy and India, while expanding cooperation with governments, chambers of commerce, universities, and international institutions. The Organization continued to advance its mission of promoting ethical, sustainable, and inclusive trade in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A major focus during the reporting period was the continued implementation of the Safe and Sustainable Trade Initiative (SSTI), which provided training to more than 120,000 SME participants worldwide. WBO also expanded its educational activities through partnerships with leading universities and the launch of the WBO Academy, delivering professional certification programs in trade ethics, digital commerce, and behavioral economics.
The report highlights additional achievements, including the publication of WBO's first Global Trade and Education Index (GTEI), the establishment of regional women's entrepreneurship hubs, and the introduction of pilot projects supporting green supply chains and blockchain-based trade traceability. These initiatives reinforce the Organization's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and inclusive economic development.
Institutionally, WBO enhanced its financial governance through diversified funding sources, transparent reporting mechanisms, and strengthened internal audit procedures. The Organization also expanded international dialogue by convening regional forums on trade resilience and deepening cooperation with public and private-sector partners across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Looking ahead, WBO plans to further expand its international membership, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and introduce its Global Strategy 2025–2030, positioning the Organization as a leading platform for responsible global trade, education, innovation, and sustainable economic cooperation.
The 2023–2024 Annual Performance Report reflects WBO's transition into a globally integrated organization, highlighting its expanding international partnerships, educational initiatives, and sustainable trade programs.
