WBO Marks a New Era of Global Consolidation in 2024–2025
The World Business Organization (WBO) has published its Annual Performance Report for 2024–October 2025, highlighting its most significant period of institutional growth and international consolidation since the Organization's establishment. The report outlines major achievements in global governance, education, sustainable trade, and strategic partnerships that have strengthened WBO's role as a leading private-sector platform.
A defining milestone of the reporting period was the First WBO General Assembly, held in Geneva, Switzerland, where delegates from 115 member countries adopted the WBO Charter, approved the 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, and elected a new Executive Council representing multiple regions. These developments reinforced the Organization's governance framework and its long-term vision for responsible global trade.
The report also highlights the expansion of WBO's educational and capacity-building initiatives. Through the WBO Academy, thousands of entrepreneurs and trade professionals participated in certified programs covering digital trade, behavioral economics, risk management, and sustainable logistics. New international partnerships with universities and development organizations further strengthened the Organization's educational ecosystem.
Significant progress was also achieved in women's economic empowerment, green trade, and innovation. Regional entrepreneurship initiatives supported thousands of women-led businesses, while pilot projects introduced sustainable supply chain standards, green business certification, and zero-carbon trade concepts. WBO also expanded its research capabilities through the publication of its Global Trade and Behavioral Economics Report 2025 and the establishment of the International Policy Research Council (IPRC) in Geneva.
According to the report, WBO's international network now spans 115 countries, supported by diversified funding, enhanced financial transparency, and stronger cooperation with governments, academic institutions, and the private sector. Looking ahead, the Organization will focus on implementing its 2025–2030 Strategy, expanding digital and educational platforms, promoting innovation-driven SMEs, and advancing sustainable global trade through broader international collaboration.
